Expert Lecture on “Probability and Distributions”

An expert lectures was delivered on 18-19 Oct 2019 by Dr. Anurag Shukla on the topic entitled with “Probability and Distributions”.
As a mathematical foundation for statistics, probability theory is essential to may science and Engineering applications that involve quantitative analysis of data. Methods of probability are also applied to descriptions of complex systems given only partial knowledge of their state. Probability distributions are mathematical functions that provide the probabilities of occurrence of different possible outcomes in an experiment. It is a description of random phenomena in terms of the probability of events. The expert lectures covered the essential concepts of probability and distributions for the same. Assignments have also been discussed to the students to enable them for solving related problems.
