ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Rajkiya Engineering College, Banda offers a four-year B.Tech programme with an intake of sixty students. The department is dedicated to imparting quality technical education and developing competent mechanical engineers capable of addressing industrial and societal challenges through innovation, technical expertise, and professional ethics. The department has a team of qualified, experienced, and committed faculty members who continuously guide and mentor students in academic, research, and professional activities. Emphasis is placed on building strong fundamentals along with practical exposure through laboratories, workshops, project-based learning, seminars, industrial visits, and technical training programmes. The department promotes an interactive and application-oriented learning environment where students are encouraged to develop analytical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. The curriculum is regularly updated in line with emerging technologies and current industrial requirements to ensure holistic development of students. Students are also encouraged to actively participate in technical events, competitions, workshops, hackathons, and cultural activities organized by reputed institutions and colleges within the state as well as across the country. Such participation enhances their technical competence, leadership qualities, communication skills, and overall personality development.

To be recognized as pioneer department of Mechanical Engineering Education in the state of Uttar Pradesh for providing valuable resources for industry and society by 2030.

MISSION

  1. To develop skills in students by providing them knowledge to succeed in Mechanical Engineering profession and higher studies.

  3. To develop practicing engineers who investigate, research, design with awareness and concern for society and environment.
